We even have a special floating position that can help alleviate pressure on the body. If you’re in your third trimester or have any concerns, please consult your physician before your session.
  • Is there anything I should do to prepare for my float?
There are just a few things to keep in mind: Avoid coffee and caffeine a few hours before your float to prevent feeling jittery. Skip shaving or waxing before floating, as the saltwater may cause irritation. Eat a light meal an hour to 90 minutes beforehand to keep hunger at bay without feeling too full. Other than that, you don’t need any special preparation!
  • Can I float if I’ve recently dyed my hair?
If you’ve just dyed your hair, make sure the water runs clear in the shower before floating, as saltwater might strip some color. If you still see color coming out in the shower, we recommend waiting a few more days and a few more washes.
  • Is it okay to float with a fresh tattoo?
We recommend waiting 4–6 weeks before floating if you have a new tattoo. The saltwater can cause discomfort and may affect the healing or appearance of your tattoo. For best results, wait until your tattoo is fully healed.
  • Do I need to bring anything to my session?
We provide everything you need! If you have long hair, you may want to bring a comb, and if you wear contacts, bring a case for them. We supply towels, robes, earplugs, and body wash/shampoo in each private room, so you can leave your swimsuit at home and float comfortably.
  • Do I have to stay in the tank the entire time?
Not at all! You’re always in control of your experience. The tank doors have no latches, and you can get out anytime you want. That said, most people find that 60 or 90 minutes pass by much faster than they’d expect!
  • What if I’m claustrophobic?
Many people with claustrophobia find floating to be surprisingly comfortable. The tanks are spacious, and the experience feels more like floating in space than being enclosed. You can leave the door open and control the lights and sound to create an environment that feels safe for you.

No, the magnesium-rich Epsom salt solution won’t dehydrate your skin. In fact, it may leave your skin feeling soft and moisturized due to the mineral content.
  • Can I float if I have cuts or scrapes?
The saltwater can cause stinging if you have cuts or open wounds. We recommend waiting until any injuries have healed before floating for maximum comfort.
  • How is the water kept clean?
Our tanks use advanced filtration systems that thoroughly clean and sanitize the water between each use. The high concentration of Epsom salts also acts as a natural disinfectant.
